I picked up my first guitar at about the age of 13, learned to play a few basic chords and started strumming out a few tunes, country music had a big influence on me in those early days as that was the music my mother played constantly on the old record player.

At 17 years of age I became a member of a band as a singer, then some years later formed my own band playing guitar and singing all the popular tunes of that era, however due to business commitments and raising a young family my music career tapered off for a number of years until I attended the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2003.
I was inspired, and the desire to perform again was rekindled, since then I have performed at Tamworth Country Music Festivals in a variety of shows and venues and enjoy busking at my permanent site in Peel Street.

I've been invited to play at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival in WA on two occasions and had numerous engagements along the Murray River in NSW at Barham,Corowa,Tooleybuc,Swanhill, and Mulwala, I've enjoyed playing at the Barmera Country Music Festival in SA on 3 occasions and the Bungendore Country Muster in NSW including main stage appearances and twice the winner of the peoples choice award for busking.

I perform dozens of shows all over Australia which also includes my own 4-5 month tours and takes in a lot of remote outback locations.

Having recorded 6 albums in that time and written several songs, some of which have earnt me recognition in a number of awards, such as grand finalist in the Australian Bush Balladeers Star Quest in Tamworth, Gidgee Coal Awards in Pitsworth QLD. and the Northern Territory songwriters awards.

In recent years I have had the honour to be part of a trio known as " BAND OF MATES " along with highly awarded singer songwriter Terry Bennetts from Perth and the guitar picking Ginger Cox from Broome, as a group we have been engaged all over the country including many shows throughout the Kimberley region.

Throughout these festivals and many others I have had the pleasure to perform with many of the best artists in Australian country music.

I reside in the country town of Moe in the Gippsland region of Victoria, and fortunate to have the support of my wife Florence in making this journey possible.
